Launch your first service
From an empty account to something online: credit, a project, then the product you need.
Every service follows the same path: credit in your account, a project to hold it, then the product itself.
Before you start
- You have an account with a confirmed email.
- You know which product you need. If not, read Which product do I need?
1. Add credit
Resources are paid from your prepaid balance, so top up your credit first. Online payments are credited when the payment completes. Bank deposits and mobile money are credited once your proof of payment is approved.
Trying App Platform?
A small frontend app on the free size costs nothing. You can deploy one before adding credit.
2. Create a project
Projects group related resources. Create one named after the site or environment, for example Production. See Create a project.
3. Create the service
Pick the guide for your product:
| Product | Start with |
|---|---|
| App Platform | Deploy your first app |
| VPS | Create a server |
| cPanel hosting | Buy cPanel hosting |
| Professional email | Set up professional email |
| Domains | Register a domain |
4. Point a domain at it
Most services are only useful at your own address. If you don't own a domain yet, register one. Then see Point your domain at a service.
What it costs
Servers and apps are billed by the hour from the moment they exist. Hosting, email and domains are paid per year when you order them. See How prepaid credits work and the pricing page.
