Create a project

Projects are the top-level way to organise your resources. Every server, app and domain belongs to a project, so you create at least one before anything else.

Ideas for organising

• By environment: Production, Staging, Development
• By client: one project per customer, so each one's resources and activity stay apart
• By product: one project per website or app

Create one

1. Open Projects and choose New project.
2. Enter a name (required). The page suggests common names like Production or Staging.
3. Add a description if it helps your team (optional).
4. Create the project.

You can change the name and description later.

Inside a project

A project has three tabs:

• Resources: the servers in this project.
• Activities: recent events, so you can see what changed and when.
• Settings: rename the project, edit its description, or delete it.

Delete a project

In Settings, use Delete project and type the project name exactly to confirm.
