Renewals, auto-renew and WHOIS privacy
Keep your domain from expiring and control what public WHOIS shows.
Open a domain from My domains → Manage to control how it renews and what WHOIS shows.
Auto-renew
Turn on Auto-renew in the domain's Overview tab, and the domain renews automatically before it expires.
If auto-renew is off
Renew manually before the expiration date, or you can lose the domain. Keep enough credit in your account either way.
Renew now
- Choose Renew on the domain page.
- Pick the renewal duration, up to 10 years. Kubana shows the price and the new expiration date.
- Choose Renew for…. The cost is paid from the domain owner's credit.
Kubana shows Renewal started, then Renewal complete with the new expiration date.
If your balance is too low, the button changes to Top up credits. See Top up your credit.
WHOIS privacy
Privacy protection replaces your contact details in public WHOIS records with those of a privacy service. It's free and on by default.
- Turn it off only if you need to, for example for some transfers. Changes can take time to show up in WHOIS.
- Teammates with view-only access see these settings but can't change them.
Check expiry dates from chat
With the Domains MCP server connected, ask "Which of my domains expire in the next 60 days?"
Expired domains
Expired domains show an expired status in My domains. Renew them as soon as possible. Once a domain is released, someone else can register it.
From your AI assistant
With the Domains MCP server connected, your assistant can renew a domain after you approve the code Kubana emails you. Auto-renew and WHOIS privacy stay in the dashboard.
