Manage DNS records

Add a DNS zone for any domain, then create, edit and delete its records.

DNS Management hosts DNS zones for any domain, whether it's registered at Kubana or elsewhere. Use it to point your domain at servers, apps, hosting and email.

1. Add the domain

  1. Open DNS Management → Add domain.
  2. Enter the domain, for example example.com.

The zone's page shows the nameservers to use: ns1.kubana.cloud, ns2.kubana.cloud and ns3.kubana.cloud. If the domain isn't using them yet, set them at your registrar. See Nameservers.

2. Add records

Choose Manage on the domain and fill in New DNS record:

Field What to enter
Type A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT or NS. See DNS record types.
Name @ for the domain itself, or a subdomain like www or blog. The form shows the full name it resolves to.
Value The target: an IP address, a hostname or text.
Priority MX records only. Lower numbers are tried first, for example 10.
TTL How long, in seconds, resolvers cache the record: 60 to 86400. The default is 3600 (1 hour).

Point a record at one of your servers

For an A record, click the Value field to pick one of your Kubana servers. Its public IP is filled in for you. Records that point at the connected server show a server icon.

3. Edit or delete

  • Edit changes a record's name, value, priority or TTL. To change the type, delete the record and create a new one.
  • Delete removes the record. It can't be undone.

Remove a zone

Delete all of a zone's records first, then choose Delete on the zone and type the domain name to confirm.

Changes take time

Each record shows a status (pending, created, active or error). After a change, resolvers may keep the old answer until the record's TTL runs out.

From your AI assistant

With the DNS MCP server connected, your assistant can create zones and add, change or delete records, for example "Point blog.example.com at my server my-web." Each change needs an approval code that Kubana emails you. It can't touch a zone's Kubana NS records, so to remove a zone completely, delete those here first.
