Deploy automatically on every push
Turn on auto-deploy and add the GitHub webhook Kubana gives you.
With auto-deploy on, every push to your app's branch starts a new deployment.
Before you start
Auto-deploy can be turned on once the app is ready to deploy:
- the deploy key is verified,
- a branch is selected,
- the build directory is set (frontend apps),
- the versions are set (Laravel apps).
1. Turn it on
Open your app → Configuration and switch on Auto-deploy. Kubana shows a payload URL and a secret for the webhook.
2. Add the webhook in GitHub
- In GitHub, open the repository → Settings → Webhooks → Add webhook.
- Payload URL: paste the URL from Kubana.
- Content type:
application/json. - Secret: paste the secret from Kubana.
- Keep SSL verification enabled.
- Under Which events…, choose Just the push event.
- Leave the webhook Active and save.
GitHub sends a test ping straight away. Kubana answers it, but nothing deploys until a real push.
How it behaves
- Only pushes to the selected branch deploy.
- If a deployment is already running, extra pushes are ignored. Push again, or deploy from the dashboard, once it finishes.
- Each deployment shows whether it came from a push or a manual deploy.
Turn it off
Switch Auto-deploy off in the Configuration tab. The webhook stays in GitHub but no longer triggers deploys, and a deployment already in progress continues. Delete the webhook in GitHub if you don't plan to turn auto-deploy back on.
