By default, actions that cost money, take a site offline or touch secrets need your approval: Kubana emails you a one-time code, and the action runs only once you give that code to your assistant. You can change which actions ask under MCP Servers in the dashboard.
Approval codes
By default, before your assistant runs a tagged action, Kubana checks with you by email. Nothing changes until you hand over the code. You can change which actions ask under MCP Servers in the dashboard.
- 1. You askFor example: “Delete the DEBUG variable on my-api.”
- 2. Kubana emails you a codeThe “Approve an AI Agent Action” email names the action in plain words, its details and price, which assistant asked and when.
- 3. You give the code to your assistantYour assistant tells you it needs the code. Read it from the email and paste it in the chat.
- 4. The action runsYour assistant repeats the request with the code, and Kubana carries it out.
- Each code works once, and only for the exact action in the email: the same app, server, domain or mailbox, with the same values.
- Codes expire after 10 minutes and stop working after 5 wrong tries.
- Kubana sends at most 5 codes every 10 minutes.
- Actions you take in the dashboard never ask for a code.
Got a code you didn’t ask for? Ignore the email and revoke that assistant under MCP Servers in your dashboard.
Connect your assistant
The first time it connects, your assistant opens Kubana in your browser so you can sign in and approve access.
