What you can do with Kubana’s MCP servers
Practical examples: debug deploys, roll back, fix email DNS, onboard mailboxes and run a weekly check-up from chat.
Real tasks you can hand to an AI assistant once Kubana's MCP servers are connected. Each example shows what to ask, what the assistant does behind the scenes, and where you stay in control.
Replace names like my-api or example.com with your own.
Debug a failed deployment
"Why did the last deployment of my-api fail?"
Behind the scenes: the assistant lists the app's deployments, opens the failed one's build log, and explains the error, for example a missing dependency or a wrong build directory. It then suggests the fix.
Then: fix the code and push. With auto-deploy on, a new deployment starts. Ask "Did the new deploy succeed?" to check.
Uses: App Platform server. Read-only, no approval needed.
Find errors in production
"Show me the errors in my storefront logs from the past hour and group them by cause."
The assistant pulls the runtime logs and summarises them: which errors repeat, when they started, and which code paths they point to. It's handy from your code editor (Cursor, VS Code, Claude Code, Codex), where the assistant can open the matching files right away.
Change a setting and redeploy
"Set APP_DEBUG to false on my-api and redeploy it."
The assistant prepares the change. Because it touches environment variables, Kubana emails you an approval code describing the exact change (with the default policy; you can change which actions ask). Paste the code into the chat, and the variable is set and the app redeployed.
Uses: App Platform server. Needs an approval code.
Roll back a bad release
"Roll my blog back to the commit before yesterday's release."
The assistant finds the deployment history, identifies the last good commit, and redeploys it. Your site is back in minutes while you fix the bug.
Get email working on a new domain
"Why isn't mail working on example.com yet? Check its DNS."
The assistant compares the records your email domain needs against public DNS, then tells you which ones are missing or wrong. It also checks whether the domain uses Kubana's nameservers.
Then: ask "Add the missing records." If the domain's DNS is on Kubana, your assistant adds them after you approve the emailed code. Otherwise, add them where your DNS is hosted. Once the records are live, ask "Activate email on example.com." Activation charges the yearly price, so it needs an approval code.
Uses: Webmail and DNS servers together. Adding records and activating need approval codes.
Onboard a new teammate
"Create a mailbox for sales@example.com with 2 GB of storage."
The mailbox is created, and Kubana generates the password and shows it once, in your assistant. Store it somewhere safe and share it with your teammate privately.
Your weekly check-up
"Give me a health check: which servers used the most CPU this week, how full are my hosting accounts, and which domains expire in the next 60 days?"
The assistant asks three servers (VPS, Shared Hosting and Domains) and gives you one summary, with nothing to click through.
Uses: VPS, Shared Hosting and Domains servers. All read-only.
Plan before you buy
"What server sizes can I pick in Europe, and how much do they cost?"
"Is mybrand.rw available, and how much is it?"
"Which hosting plan am I on, and what would the next one up add?"
Compare options in conversation. Your assistant can then create the server for you: Kubana emails you an approval code showing the region, size, image and price. It can register the domain too, after the same kind of approval. Upgrading hosting stays in the dashboard.
Understand how it all fits
"Explain how my App Platform apps, domains and DNS connect, and what's using my credit."
Every Kubana server has a "how it fits together" tool. It explains your own setup: which domains point where, and how each product draws on your credit.
Write better prompts
- Name the resource: "my-api", "example.com", not "my app".
- Give a time window: "in the past hour", "this week".
- Ask for a plan first on anything that changes things: "What would you change? Don't do it yet."
- Ask it to show its evidence: "Quote the log lines you're basing that on."
What stays in the dashboard
Assistants can't read or send your email. They also can't see root passwords, touch servers shared with you, remove Kubana's NS records, transfer domains, or buy hosting. Each MCP server page lists exactly what stays in the dashboard.
